In the "Twelfth Five Year" period, in the air pollution control, China has made a very clear progress. With air pollution prevention and control plan and the latest revision of the people’s Republic of China Environmental Protection Law, China will continue to increase the overall investment in the prevention and control of atmospheric pollution, and further strengthen the comprehensive improvement of air pollution problems, will have a major contribution to air pollution in the relocation of heavy polluting enterprises in the existing city layout optimization. However, the atmospheric environment is still severe, and the air pollution control is still a problem. During the "Twelfth Five Year Plan" period, according to the implementation of China’s air pollution related standards, our country for focus control of atmospheric pollutants is mainly sulfur dioxide and industrial smoke and dust, but in the environmental protection department of the former finance and planning department director Zhao Hualin put forward the 13 th national five-year plan national environmental insurance support planning ideas, clearly pointed out, volatile organic compounds will be incorporated into China’s total control of binding targets. However, the total amount of volatile organic compounds in the automobile manufacturing industry is still lack of relevant standards.At the present stage of industrialization and urbanization of our country is still in a stage of rapid development, demand for energy resources is still in the state of sustained growth, emissions of volatile organic compounds, especially automotive emissions of volatile organic compounds in industry has not issued the relevant policies, the atmospheric environment will face unprecedented pressure.The to total pollutant control theory as the basis, by of automobile manufacturing industry paint shop process were analyzed, summarized the workshop of volatile organic compounds generated links and the volatile rate, and according to the existing volatile organic compounds treatment method, namely dry dust extraction, wet type dust removing method and incineration were calculated under different processing methods of different segments of the volatile organic compounds reduction rate and emission rate, for the automobile manufacturing industry is facing the volatile organic compounds of the forthcoming regulations cuts, according to the enterprise’s own production processes and process, provide a practical reference.
