Artificial core was a cylindrical object of porous structure. Material of artificial core was mixed a variety of different particle sizes of gravel and liquid resin. Then, the mixture was placed in a mould and allowed to set and harden. Artificial core was based on developed product by chemical sand prevention technique, and used for sand prevention technique of oil well of sandstone reservoir development.This text has taken the metal mould of artificial core for example. And it has analyzed the design of the metal mould in theory, and it has analyzed the main structure of artificial core and technological characteristics, and the main structure design of mould was determined. And it has systematically concluded the basic process of mould design.Firstly, according to the technological characteristics of artificial core, metal mould and coated sand technique was chosen as the manufacturing process of the artificial core. Combined with a similar mould designing scheme of cylindrical structural, it puts forward the overall structural design methods and principles of artificial core mould. Artificial core mould used tubular structures. The mould cavity was constructed outer cylinder and the inner cylinder, and the inner cylinder is used as the mould core. Because of the excessive resistance was caused by the hard to take out the phenomenon of artificial core mould core. It was adopted split mould of hollow of core, and fixed at both ends with trench end cover. Meanwhile, analyze the reason of failure of the metal mould, and conclude how to choose the metal material.Secondly, the mould core structure was redesigned. The transmission system comprises a worm and four worm gears which are engaged with the worm, based on the principle of multiple meshing. The numbers of teeth of worm gears were different. Therefore, different worm gears were rotated different angles, and so as to achieve the split mould core folded and scatter. It was ensured the function of the mould core, and avoids push out the mould core by the mechanical device.Finally, using ANSYS software obtains the artificial core manufacturing process of mould with the temperature change and the displacement distribution. By the theoretical results of mould in the process of heat expansion and cooling contraction existence the phenomenon of residual strain and the phenomenon was consistent with the actual test...
