As one of a novel function materials, intelligent soft materials have been developed rapidly in recent years. The devices made of intelligent soft materials play an important role in the field of modern science. Intelligent soft material can achieve a lot of the function due to its light weight, large deformation, small noise and other characteristics which hard materials can not achieve. As a kind of electric driven intelligent soft material, dielectric elastomer has been studied by many universities and scientific research institutions in the field of actuator, energy harvest, soft robot, artificial muscle and so on.This paper concentrate on the mechanical-electrical property and device design of dielectric elastomer. First, we design a novel dielectric elastomer soft creeping structure, and analyze the parameters which effect the performance of soft robot. Second, we strengthened the mechanical property of dielectric elastomer by the fiber reinforced method, and we research the mechanical-electrical property of fiber reinforced dielectric elastomer of different kinds of fiber arrangement by experiment and finite element simulation method. Finally, based on an existing soft robot, we further analyze its performance, improve some of its other functions, enhanced its performance by the method of fiber reinforced and small power supply.
