With the rapid economic development and the growth of industrial activities in recent years, also with the urban scale expands, human activities resulting in the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere continues to increase. Air quality deteriorates in Shijiazhuang City, Haze pollution becomes more serious.Related studies have shown that fugitive dust is the primary source of ShijiazhuangPM10 and PM2.5 pollution. The road fugitive dust has gradually become the main source of the air pollution, especially an important source of urban air particles. Road fugitive dust poses a threat to the health of urban residents, Road fugitive dust control and management has become an important part of regional air pollution control work. Shijiazhuang area is still lacking of studies of road fugitive dust emission, exploring the emission characteristics of road fugitive dust will provide a reference for government policy making, it also will provide theoretical and base data to control measures of road fugitive dust in the Shijiazhuang city. This paper taking Shijiazhuang city roads as the research object, divided A year into two periods, during the two periods a total of 87 road dust samples were collected from different sampling point. Through the experiment road silt loading of different grade paved roads were calculated and analyzed. The results showed that, the average silt loading of fast road, trunk road, sub trunk road and branch road is 0.248 g/m2,0.370 g/m2,0.422 g/m2,1.336 g/m2 in summer&autumn,1.857g/m2,1.563g/m2,2.574g/m2,4.257g/m2in winter&spring. Obviously, the average silt loading in winter&spring is much higher than summer & autumn. The average silt loading of fast road is even much higher than trunk road in winter&spring.Activity data such as traffic flow、the average vehicle weight and length of roads were counted during the sampling. Based on the U.S. EPA AP-42 model, the fugitive road dust emissions factor of Shijiazhuang city was calculated. The road fugitive dust emissions and emission intensity of different types of roads of Shijiazhuang city was developed. The final results show that the road fugitive dust emission factor of TSP, PM10 and PM2.5 is: 7.360g/VKT、1.461 g/VKT、0.354g/VKT for fast road,6.319 g/VKT.1.213 g/VKT、0.293 g/VKT for trunk road,9.946 g/VKT、1.909 g/VKT、0.462 g/VKT for sub trunk road,26538t. 5094t、1232t for branch road, while the total emission of TSP、PM10、PM2.5 are 109373t、 21055t.5094t per year, respectively. Emission intensity of TSP, PM10 and PM2.5 is: 613kg/km·d、122kg/km·d、29kg/km·d for fast road,439kg/km·d、84kg/km·d、20 kg/km·d for trunk road,393kg/km·d、76kg/km·d、18kg/km·d for sub trunk road,211 kg/km·d、40 kg/km·d、 10 kg/km·d for branch road, respectively. To analyze the spatial characteristics of road fugitive dust emission, this paper create a grid of spatial distribution with ArcGIS. The results showed that along the main road such as Zhonghua street, zhongshan road, yuhua road and huaian road, especially in old Shijiazhuang city center, the road fugitive dust pollution is much more serious than other area.
