Nuclear power is growing to be an important part of world energy because of its efficient and clean. For the workpiece material of the head of water chamber, A508-3 steel has the difficult machining characteristics, which belong to the key components of the nuclear evaporator, produced and manufactured by only a few countries in the world and the technologies are highly protected. It is the main problem for this kind material processing with the characteristics of high thermal strength and so on, the research on shank with large length diameter ratio and plunge milling cutter is as followed:Firstly, the research elaborated the principle and advantage of plunge milling cutter, then has the discussion about the characteristics and processing methods of plunge milling. In order to prevent the occurrence of chipping tip, I do some analysis of rake angle settings. Meanwhile, in order to reduce the vibration problem caused by large length to diameter ratio, through the dynamic model, to find the right inner hole of the shank meeting the requirements.Secondly, though C++ interface API function of the parametric design in the UG NX, combined with UG / OPEN UIStyler achieving excellent human-computer interaction to improve the modeling efficiency for the coming ANSYS and DEFORM simulation in different rake angle.Thirdly, though the cutting simulation on DEFORM, getting the cutting force of different rake angle in the same situation. Though the static analysis on ANSYS, getting the deformation of different rake angle. Based on the analysis of frequency response, we get the right inner hole of the shank meeting the requirements, then carrying on the processing of plunge milling cutter and shank to for the coming milling test.Finally, though the orthogonal test, completing the milling test of plunge milling cutter by studying cutting force of three important factors. According to the diameter of 32 mm plunge milling cutter and A508-3 steel, establishing the milling force model and completing the verification of inner hole. |
