Biomass tar is a complex mixture, which has the potential to use as liquid fuels and chemical materials. The application of biomass tar can make full use of resource and reduce the pollution at the source as well. The green manufacture technology will have been a key factor to make use of biomass tar.In this study, SC-ET is used to study the pretreatment and software simulation is used to study the clear separation of biomass tar. Biomass tar is replaced by the mixture of phenol, p-cresol and naphthalene. Temperature and pressure of extraction is the key factor influence the extracting efficiency. We also research on the dissolution of biomass tar in supercritical ethanol. The process conditions of distillation have a great influence on the composition of fractions. However, it is very difficult to determine the parameters of distillation under conventional conditions. In order to solve this problem, we use chemical software to simulate distillation process. To determine the parameters first, then the conditions are optimized by the lowest energy consumption of the boiler.Results show that the extraction rules of cresol, phenol and naphthalene in supercritical ethanol are almost the same. When the extraction temperature is 270℃ and the pressure is 13.4MPa, the effect of extraction is optimum. The extraction rate of cresol, phenol and naphthalene is 64.19%, 63.02%, 62.41%,respectively. The two simulation results show that best theoretical plate number of column 1 and column 2 are 33, 64. The best feed board of the original biomass tar and the extraction of tar are 16, 40, 15, 39, respectively. It also shows that to improve the quality of tar fraction is advantageous to the tar distillation. The research of Supercritical ethanol extraction of ternary composition and chemical software simulation of the separation and purification of ternary component can provide technical reference for green using of biomass tar.
