As the capital city of Hebei Province, urban motor vehicle ownership of Shijiazhuang grows rapidly, pollutant emissions of motor vehicle sharply increase, automobile emission has become one of the important sources of PM2.5 pollution in Shijiazhuang city. In this paper the situation and characteristics of road traffic environment air quality in Shijiazhuang were analyzed and discussed by monitoring the traffic environment air quality of typical section. The particulate matter source analytic technique on the basis of CMB receptor model was applied to carry on source analysis of PM2.5 in environment air of Shijiazhuang, the pollution contribution rate of automobile emission to PM2.5 was obtained in Shijiazhuang. On the basis, the causes of automobile emission pollution in Shijiazhuang City were analyzed, the practical and feasible measures for the prevention and control of automobile emission pollution were proposed.1) By monitoring the traffic environment air quality of typical section in Shijiazhuang, it was found that emission pollution of motor vehicle was related with the travel and condition of motor vehicle. For the same road, the number of motor vehicles traveling at different times was different, and the air pollution contribution on both sides of the road was also different. TSP appeared two peak values at 7:00~9:00 and 19:00~21:00, and the low value appeared at early morning and afternoon. NOX appeared two peaks at 6:00~8:00 and 20:00~22:00, and the low values appeared at afternoon. CO appeared two peaks at 7:00~9:00 and 19:00~22:00, and the low values appeared at early morning and afternoon. The peak of motor vehicle was 7:00 ~ 12:00 and 14:00 ~ 19:00. The construction structure beside the road, the greening status and the space of the head space beside the road had a great influence on the diffusion of automobile emission. Exceed standard rate of TSP reached 100% in 0 m(cycleway) and 5 m(sidewalk) away from the driveway, and the concentration value decreased significantly at 50 m. It was greatly impacted by the Second Dust Emission and random factors. Exceed standard rate of daily mean concentration of NOX reached 100% in 0 m away from the driveway, it reached the standard at 50 m. The concentration value of CO and HC significantly decreased at 0~5 m away from the driveway, then it decreases slowly.2) In the city, samples of various emission sources(mainly including coal dust, industrial waste gas, iron and steel dust, construction and cement dust, automobile emission dust, urban dust, road dust, soil dust, catering fumes) in two cycles of heating season and non-heating season was taken, the total number of pollution source sample was 564. By the inorganic element analysis, ion analysis, carbon analysis and PAH analysis of these samples, the pollution contribution rate of automobile emission to PM2.5 was acquired. The annual contribution rate of automobile emission was 8.9%, and it was 8.1% in spring, 14.9% in summer, 18.2% in autumn, 10.5% in winter, respectivelly.3) For the current emission and pollution situation of vehicle in Shijiazhuang city, the practical and feasible measures were proposed for the prevention and controlling of motor vehicles emission pollution by analyzing the causes of motor vehicles emission pollution.
