Research On The Form Of Enterprise 's Control And The Performance Of Environmental Management

With the improvement of people’s living environment quality requirements and environmental problems in recent years, more and more enterprises begin to take on the social responsibility of environmental protection, some enterprises even have to bear a considerable part of environmental protection expenses, so the concern of enterprise environmental management performance is growing. And the differences of the actual control of the company’s property can cause different environmental management performances.There are four types of enterprise control power such as state-owned enterprises (SOE), collective or social-owned enterprises (COE), private-owned enterprises (POE) and foreign direct investment (FDI). Which form of environmental management performance is better, what factors can evaluate the enterprise’s environmental management performances, and the different performances the enterprises show in the internal and external environmental management performances are the problem to be discussed.This thesis will analyze environmental management performances of the four different listed companies in China, including Petro China (SOE), Haier Group (COE), Jiangsu Shagang Group Co., Ltd. (POE) and general motors China (FDI). In this thesis, there are detailed pollution discharge files of the companies mentioned above,With the study of foreign scholars, the paper focuses on the impact of environmental pollution, the external non economic internal problems,the performance of corporate environmental management. The results show that the environmental management performance of private private-owned enterprises (POE) is the best, and the worst is the state-owned enterprises (SOE). When considering the external environment, the environmental management performance of state-owned enterprises (SOE) is the best, while the worst is the private private-owned enterprises (POE).
