The power ultrasonic vibration honing technology is a hybrid machining process combining the material removal mechanisms of ordinary honing and ultrasonic technology. It can improve the efficiency of the ordinary honing is low and the oil-stone chocking-up easily and grinding temperature higher, then to achieve the improvement of production quality and oil-stone durability. Increasing attention is attached to the property of high efficiency, high quality, high precision for power ultrasonic vibration honing. At present, as the main subjects of inner hole for the power ultrasonic vibration honing technology. However, can be found on the slender shaft processing little information. This dissertation summarized the literature of domestic and foreign, study the ultrasonic vibration honing by choose an appropriate method for the slender shaft processing, analyzed the cutting mechanism and the cut motion, design methods of the ultrasonic vibration honing installment, the entity designer of key parts, and the dynamic properties of the power ultrasonic honing system.Firstly, this paper overall elaborates developing course and application of the power ultrasonic vibration technology at home and abroad, study on problem of ordinary honing, and put forward a hybrid machining process of the ultrasonic technology aided ordinary honing. It provides a new way of high-productivity, high quality for ordinary honing.Secondly, through the comparison of machining method about piston rod, paper proposes to use the power ultrasonic vibration honing to processing piston rod, this dissertation analyzed the cutting mechanism and the cut motion, determined the longitudinal and the radial critical speed, points out it was not until the vibration speed over a certain critical value that the ultrasonic vibration honing installment began to at work. And researched the spatial cutting phenomenon of the power ultrasonic vibration honing, reveals the cause of enhance grinding efficiency. With the analysis of abrasive grain motion, this dissertation establish the theoretical modal of removal rate, produced the material removing rate theoretical formula of power ultrasonic honing, and reveals the effects of relative factors on the material. This paper analyses key factors of affecting surface roughness on honing, and considering the operation performance of ordinary honing, reveals the method is able to reduce the surface roughness of workpiece.Finally, study out a ultrasonic vibration honing installment for the slender shaft processing, and the finite element method is used to analyze and verify the conclusion. It mainly includes ultrasonic generator, transducer, amplitude transformer, flexural vibration disk, flexible rod, whetstone tower, whetstone. Ultrasonic generator to provide a source of vibration for ultrasonic vibration devices, the electrical oscillation of ultrasonic frequency of the ultrasonic generator is converted to longitudinal mechanical vibration by transducer, amplitude transformer enlarge the longitudinal mechanical vibration, and passed to the flexural vibration disk, the longitudinal mechanical vibration will be converted to blending vibration by the flexural vibration disk, and passed to the flexible rod, the flexible rod converts lending vibration to longitudinal vibration and passed to the whetstone tower, the whetstone tower bring oil-stone longitudinal vibration, and complete the honing process. In the process, the work pressure by hydraulic pressure holding device on honing head to whetstone tower. This paper proposed a kind of design idea to the ultrasonic vibration honing installment for the slender shaft processing, and set up the mathematic model of longitudinal vibration form to the system of flexible rod and whetstone tower, and the frequency equation has been derived.
