The study was based on research、analysis and demonstration of verflow paddy separator working principle. Overall structure of new paddy separation equipment-overflow paddy separator was completed. Overflow paddy separator prototype was manufactured on collaboration of research and cooperative unit. Validation experiments and small batch work trial of its working principle was conducted. The main technical parameters of device was optimized on a reasonable choice of separate face and technical characteristics.Overflow paddy separator has a certain degree of innovation. It is mainly reflected in these respects:Compared with all kinds of paddy separation equipment, which is currently common used in the domestic. The overflow paddy separator has reduced the outlet of paddy mixture (no longer refluxing a lot of paddy mixture to separate it again), it helps to reduce the material transport investment and the cost of operating management, it’s also conductive to save energy and reduce consumption; At the same time we can obtain with high purity and net rough back hulling, meet the critical technical index requirements of paddy separation step; improve the unit area processing amount of separation plane (separation plate) through the overflow discharge forms. In addition, with the using of single separation face, we can reduce the equipment weight, lower difficultly of operating control and management of the equipment.The device utilizes the rotary motion in the plane、reasonable motion in the circular inclined working surface of paddy mixture to produce a good automatic classification. By controlling the relative motion between the material layer、the underlying material and the working face. The net rough move outwardly and overflow to net rough exports. While the more pure unhulled rice focused inwardly and overflow to re-husking paddy exports. The correctness and feasibility of working principle was proved by verification experiment.The main structure design and prototyping of the device includes the following major components:feeder, cabinet, the separation plate and the overflow port, Rotary, transmission control devices, the support mechanism and frame and so on. Among them, the unique structure and key members were all independent design; part of structural components or devices was replaced with the existing components or devices which was used to meet requirements, but it must be calculated and checked; electrical equipment and accessories and standard parts were outsourcing, self-assembly.The test on process effect of separating plate contrast of preparation screen、 stainless steel plate and horseshoe blinds (inward inclination 5°) was conducted. The test results showed that horseshoe blinds (inward inclination 5°)can obtain a satisfactory separation used as a working face.Containing grain level of net rough and containing rough level of re-husking paddy was used as assessment indicators. The single factor and three-factor orthogonal experiment was completed on bass of three factors:working speed, turning radius and material thickness. The best combined solution of main technical parameters was selected. The results showed that:The prototype working speed of 240 rad/min, turning radius of 40mm and a thickness of the material layer separation plate is 40mm, the process works best. Containing grain level of net rough is less than 40/kg, Containing rough level of re-husking paddy is less than 10 percent. Which reach the indicator of separation step.
