At present, with the increasing of the world population and the rapid development of industrialization, the problem of environmental pollution is becoming more and more serious. In the background of developing the economy, we have to promote the urbanization process, but in the process of urbanization, the problem of environmental pollution caused by urban construction is becoming more serious. In the process of human survival and development, soil is not only one of the non renewable natural resources, it is not only the fundamental place of agricultural production, but also the important part of human ecology and environment. The pollution of heavy metals is the most serious in the problem of soil pollution. Soil heavy metal pollution not only threatens the environment of soil itself and the output and quality of crops, but also serious threat to human and animal health. This paper first describes the status of soil heavy metal cadmium pollution, sources of pollution, prevention and control, and detection methods, in the introduction of the commonly used detection methods of heavy metal cadmium in soil, the advantages and disadvantages of the various detection methods. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) was used to detect trace amounts of cadmium in soil. Because of the complexity of soil sample composition, the matrix interference between the elements is relatively large, and the ICP-MS was used to determine the 111 Cd in soil. The select 114 Cd in selected spectral lines, spectral interferences 118 Sn deduction, rhenium internal standard were detected, can accurately detect the 0.05 μg/g low content of soil samples of cadmium. This method has accurate degree is high, the detection limits are low and reproduce the advantages, to adapt to soil Cd fast accurate analysis and detection, for cadmium in soil parameters acquisition technology to provide a reference.
