The major bottleneck restricting the economic development of our country is energy. In view of the energy storage characteristics "rich in coal, poor in oil and gas" of our country, coal mining underground is still the inevitable choice to support the energy demand of China’s sustained economic and social development. It puts forward higher requirements on the reliability and adaptability of shearer.Now shearer cutting unit adopts a gear transmission system. Heavy load, strong impact load are transmitted by gear when mining. The deformation of rocker box under heavy load will affect the gear meshing. If there is one gear failed, it will cause the whole machine stops working, so the reliability is low. In addition, the lump rate is determined by the roller speed, the traction speed and the structure parameters. The roller can not adjust the speed currently, so it is difficult to effectively control the the lump coal rate.In this paper, MG300/700 electric traction shearer is the application object. The goal is to improve the adaptability and reliability of shearer. Based on the full understanding of the traditional shearer, the design and parameters matching of the mechanic-electronic-hydraulic short range cutting transmission system of shearer is completed, and the related theory analysis and evaluation is also completed. The main contents are as follows:① Based on a detailed understanding of the traditional Shearer composition, working principle and characteristics, the mechanic-electronic-hydraulic short range cutting transmission system of shearer is designed. The system adopts the structure of multi pumps and motors, relizes the short range transmission and roller speed regulation, and improves the reliability and adaptability of shearer. The system also uses the accumulator to realize the buffer and damping under the mutation load. The unique function of failure protection can further improve the reliability of shearer.② For the design of the mechanic-electronic-hydraulic short range cutting transmission system, the parameter matching and selection of the key components are completed. Secondly, the key components of mathematical model and AMESim simulation model are completed, and the characteristics of the key components are analyzed.③ After establishing the simulation model of the mechanic-electronic-hydraulic short range cutting transmission system of shearer, the simulation analysis are carried out from three aspects of speed performance, anti impact performance and efficiency. The simulation results show that the system can achieve good speed regulation of the roller, and it can realize the buffer and damping well with the accumulator. In addition, the total efficiency of the system can reach above 70%.④ The shearer cutting drum load model and haulage system model are established. On this basis, the whole shearer model is established and the control strategy is developed. Based on the whole shearer model and the control strategy, a comprehensive analysis under various typical conditions is completed. The results show that the cutting transmission system has good adaptability and reliability.In this paper, the design of the mechanic-electronic-hydraulic short range cutting transmission system of shearer is completed, and the theoretic analysis is also completed. In addition, the control strategy of shearer is developed. It provides a theoretical basis for the shearer cutting transmission system, which lays a foundation for the further implementation of engineering application.
