As the Sino-Russian border lake, the water of Xiaoxingkai Lake has been attracting the attention of the two countries. However, with the development of economy and the increase of human activities, the water quality has dropped from class â…¡to class and into poor level of eutrop Hication levels. â…¢Fourteen sampling sites were chosen in 2013 in Xiaoxingkai Lake. Based on the literature review and field investigation, sixteen indicators were determined. Geostatistical analysis and Kriging interpolation were used to analyze the results of water environment spatial heterogeneity of Xiaoxingkai Lake, and to identify the main factors affecting the water quality of the lake.The results indicated that water quality change with spring, summer, autumn, winter festival gradually deteriorated. Due to wind, big waves of the lake, the lake by the disturbance, the lakes of TOC and turbidity average high and low average of BOD5 and ammonia nitrogen. According to "surface water environment quality standard GB838-2002", COD is class V in July and are inferior to class V in the other month; TN is class II in May and September, and is class III and class IV in July and November respectively; TN has been floating under the class V throughout the year.The spatial variation feature of water quality elements is obvious in the lake. According variability grading standards, transparency, turbidity, BOD5, TP, Fe2+ and Fe3+are moderate variability both in time scale and space scale, p H is weak variation in spatial scales all the year and TOC is moderate variation throughout the year, the rest of the indicators of time and space distribution rule is inconsistent. Conductivity, spatial variation of Fe2+ and Fe3+ are significantly influenced by artificial factors. Besides Fe2+ and Fe3+ of water quality monitoring index changing with spring, summer, autumn season monitoring value increases gradually.TN, TP, Fe2+, Fe3+ are main factors to affect Xiaoxingkai Lake water quality. In May,Chengzihe-857farm-Xinkailiu basin is heavy pollution area, Xidihe times, 5 km east new best water quality; Xinkailiu and Huxin pollution is serious in July and September, Erzha times, Xinkaikou in the best condition.Spatial variability of water quality are affected by the different land-use types and nature factors. Nitrogen, p Hosp Horus and organic pollutants were the major pollution sources which came from the non-point source pollution and living waste, water management policies and point sources of pollution control also plays a role, tourism development increased the pressure on water quality.
