| Polyethylene grafted maleic anhydride was preparated by using the twin screw extruder of large length diameter ratio on the basis of previous studies in this paper and grafting was applicated in the nylon 6 blend. BPO and DCP initiators were selected in this system to initiate reaction.Styrene, epoxy resin, dimethyl dithiocarbamate zinc, different ratio of different type weight polyethylene(uhmwpe) and 1, 4 butanediol- glycidyl ether agent were added. The structure of the graft polymer and the mechanism of the various additives were analyzed through aculation of graft rate, melt index,gel content, Infrared spectrum and DSC test. Maleic anhydride grafted with high grafting rate and low gel co ntent were prepared. And graft polymer as compatilizer was applied in the polyethylene/nylon 6 alloy.The blend with good performance was obtained through mechanics performance test, scanning electron microscopy(SEM) test.In linear low density polyethyle ne grafted maleic anhydride study, grafting rate was improved effectively when the styrene and epoxy resin were added in the reaction process with BPO as initiator. Maleic anhydride was grafted successfully to macromolecular chain of polyethylene by the infrared spectrum analysis.Melt index and the grafting material melt fluidity decreased at the same time. The crosslinking reaction of the system was seriously promoted with the addition of epoxy resin. The crosslinking reaction was controlled effectively by adding regulation of free radical active additives and grafting increased liquidity with increasing of the content. With DCP as initiator, grafting rate was increased rapidly with the increase of the content of DCP and melt index of graft fell dramatically. Dimethyl dithiocarbamate zinc was added to increase liquidity of the graft material.When the content of DCP was 0.3 phr and dimethyl dithiocarbamate zinc was 0.1phr, graft rate was 1.27%, the gel content of graft copolymerization was 0.The good compatibility effect was obtained when the grafting material as compatibilizer was applied in the LLDPE/PA6 blend.Grafting rate was not improved significantly when the styrene and epoxy resin were added with BPO as initiator in system of high density polyethylene melt grafting of maleic anhydride compared without promoter. However, the crosslinking reaction of system was serious promoted with increasing of epoxy resin content, and melt index was dramatically reduced with the increase of epoxy resin content. The crosslinking reaction was effectively controlled with the addition of dimethyl dithiocarbamate zinc. With DCP as initiator, grafting rate was abtained acertain degree of improvement with the increase of the content of DCP and grafting material melt index decreased. The different type of high density polyethylene was reaserched on the influence of graft reaction. Grafting rate remained constant with the increase of the brand for 5000 s content, melt index decreased gradually. The melt index was also reduced with the addition of Glycidyl ether. The good compatibility effect was obtained when the grafting material as compatibilizer was applied in HDPE/PA6 blend. |
