According to geological expl oration period and exposing in the pr ocess of pr oducti on of gas geological data, the paper us ing the theory of ga s geology analyze d gas occurrence regularity and c ontrol cha r act eristi cs in Pingdingshan No.1 mine. based on the study of the geological tectonic evolution and control characteristics in Pi ngdingshan mine area, combined with the geological structure charac teristics of the mine, this pa per further a nalyzed t he impact of the fault, fold, roof and floor li thology and thickness of coal s eam, tectonic coal dis tribution l aw to gas occ ur rence distri bution,it is concluded that the NW stri king fault s are conducive to gas pr eservation, and gas r eservoir per formance of the NE striking faults is poorer in No.1 mine, and combined with the dept h of coal seam, the thickness of overlying rock of coal sea m and coal s eam floor elevation, it is i denti fied that the thickness of overlying bedrock is the mai n gas occurrence c ontrol fact or in No.1 mine. The paper predicted gas content, absolute gas emission and gas press ure in no mining area using releva nt mathematical model,combina tion wit h out standing data, Below the area of the thickness of overlying rock520 m of D6 coa l seam and the thickness of overlying rock 640 m of C8 coal seam was divided into the gas outburst danger zone.This paper studi ed the gas occurr ence distributi on a nd control characteristics in Pi ngdingshan No.1 mine, pr ovided suggesti on for the further mini ng and gas pr evention.
