The carbon fiber composite materials have many excellent properties, it has a very wide range of applications, such as the aerospace, automobile parts, sports equipment and so on.It all has a very good application, therefore, preparing the composite materials that have good performance is becoming very important. To get the outstanding composite material that have good performance, the selection of the epoxy resin matrix is very important. The experiment results show that the performance of the carbon fiber composite materials has a lot to do with the epoxy resin matrix modulus. This experiment studies how the different amine curing agent and diluent effect the performance of the epoxy resin matrix and the toray T700 and M40 carbon fiber composite.The experiment first choses three amine curing agent with different stiffness,the three curing agents are DDM, DMDC, D-230, the three curing agents have different rigidity, DDM is aromatic amine curing agent, DMDC is alicyclic curing agent, D-230 is polyether amine, it is a curing agent with flexible chain. The experiment studied the mechanical of the resin cast of E44/DDM, E44/DMDC and E44/D-230. Experimental results show that the three systems, the strength and break elongation of E44/D-230 system is not the biggest, but the modulus of E44/D-230 system is the highest, the tensile strength of T700 and M40 composite material also is the highest.The experiment also joined three different diluents AGE> PGE> 632 into the E44/D-230 system. The modulus has a certain degree of increase with the increase of the content of the diluent.The trend of the change of the modulus is increase first, then decrease with the increase of the content of the diluent. When the content of the AGE is 4%,the modulus is the highest, when the content of the PGE is 6%,the modulus is the highest, when the content of the 632 is 6%,the modulus is the highest, at the same time, the tensile strength of the T700 and M40 carbon fiber composite is the highest.Experiment also futher studies the interface bond strength of different system, in the three different curing system, the interface bond strength of the D-230/E44 system is the highest,adding diluent into the system, the invasion of the resin to the carbon fiber is better, the interface bond strength also increases.
