The application of Liquid crystalline polymers (LCP) is very extensive, but it has its disadvantages such as high melting point, poor liquid, difficult to forming and so on. In order to make the liquid crystalline material with good performance, we will modify liquid crystalline materials. In this paper, we have prepaired two kinds of CNT/LCP composite materials respectively, and studied the dispersion of CNT in LCP and the performance of the composite materials.A kind of side-chain liquid crystalline monomer was synthesized. Situ polymerization was used in this paper, different content CNT/LCP composite materials were synthesized through the polymerization reaction, and further polymer materials was synthesized. Then the dispersion of carbon nanotubes and the performance of the composite materials were investigated through POM, SEM, DSC, and FTIR. The results showed that a certain amount of carbon nanotubes can be dispersed well in polymer. The thermal performance of polymer, performance of composite materials and melting transition temperature was improved.A kind of main-chain liquid crystalline monomer was synthesized, different content CNT/LCP composite materials was synthesized through in situ polymerization. Then the dispersion of carbon nanotubes and the performance of the composite materials were investigated through POM, SEM, DSC, and FTIR. The results show that a certain amount of carbon nanotubes can be dispersed well in polymer, and can be arranged along a certain direction, carbon nanotubes has no impact on the performance of liquid crystal.
