Mercury pollutants have complex composition and obvious pollution characteristics, so it’s easy for them to cause huge environmental risk. The risk and potential hazards are mainly depends on the exposure degree of human and ecological receptors to these pollutants’ multimedia environment and associated health effects. Therefore, it has very important significance on the environmental risk assessment and environmental risk management to research on pollutants’ environmental fate and migration process, assessing environmental risk by constructing assessment model,from the perspective of the multimedia environment.In this study, we choose 3MRA as the subject of this experimental model by screening and evaluating through the international general mathematic model, based on the current situation of domestic mercury waste pollution. The application research is mainly mainly consists of two parts, the details are presented in the third chapter and the fourth chapter, the main research results are as follows:First, we choose 3MRA model to simulates and predict safety threshold of WP, WP-LF and WP-LF-LAU, the three processing modes for safe disposal of mercury, in different setting conditions. This can provide data information for options of waste disposal program. Simulation experiments show that, the waste disposal mode of WP-LF not only shows better scalability in simulated distance changes, but also has a high confidence level than the other two kinds of waste disposals, in a certain protection ratio and a certain threshold value.Second, simulation of the human health risk in governance mode of mercury containing waste residue at present. In the WP-LF waste disposal mode mentioned above,by use of 3MRA model. The simulation results show: the management measure and its formulation of mercury containing waste should be adjusted properly in real-time, according to factors in many aspects such as, environmental conditions, human health risk prevention level and the cost of economic and technical.Third, when parameters are set as follows: the groups protection ratio is 99%(region of 500 m from the case sites), confidence level(probability of protection) is 95%, hazard quotient HQ is 1, the human receptor risk limit value is10-6. The threshold of safe disposal calculated in the valley is greater than on the top of the hill, although we use the same waste disposal method.From the preliminary results of 3MRA model in the application of risk assessment of mercury containing waste above, the model system has a high application and practical value. The purpose of this study is to provide a new method for risk assessment of mercury containing waste disposal, to provide management basis for hazardous waste environmental management system in China, so as to make our country’s system of hazardous waste management be better.
