In recent years, China’s inland water eutrophication is becoming more and more serious, which results in algal outbreak in large-scale. The monitoring of algal blooms has become an important task for water quality governance. Traditional methods of monitoring by ships can’t grasp the outbreak algal blooms of large lake area comprehensively and timely. Remote sensing monitoring technology, compared with traditional methods, has more advantages:wider monitoring range, better time resolution and lower manpower cost. So it has become the major means of bloom monitoring instead of traditional monitoring method. Remote sensing technology for cyanobacteria monitoring is mainly based on the spectral characteristics of water radiation.The spectral characteristics of the water are determined by the light absorption and scattering of various substances. Remote sensing data from the sensors are mounted on a various remote sensing platforms. Among these data, the most widely used are the aerospace remote sensing data. However, remote sensing data has its limitations.Because of the widespread usage of high resolution camera and video camera, obtaining higher quality Lake photograph is more convenient. Using photo identify cyanobacteria has become an inevitable trend of environmental protection of water resources.The issue have designed a system which’s name is’the research and implements of ErHai algae outbreak’s identification’.The system is based on the project of ErHai environment protection.The cyanobacteria in the photo can be seen directly.But in the project of ErHai protection,the pollution should be monitored in time.In order to reduce manpower,the server-side cyanobacteria monitoring software is designed to automatically identify the cyanobacteria.This software can maximize the use of computer intelligence to process photos which contains cyanobacteria.The software should be including following functions:automatic monitoring of a specific folder on the server side.When Erhai’s image transmitted to this folder through network,server can analyze and process this image by threshold of cyanobacteria which is predefined.In order to get the threshold of cyanobacteria,this paper attempts to extract and analyze the temporal characteristics of cyanobacteria and the frequency domain characteristics which are after Fourier transform.This project and implements of ErHai algae outbreak’s identification are based on VS 2010(Microsoft Visual Studio 2010) as a development platform and C# language is used to code.It achieves the two major functions of the software:(1) We achieved a visual interface by windows form application.Which contains four sub-functions:① To extract pixel in the photos according to a pre-set threshold. ②To analysis the threshold according to the selected area in the picture.③To analyze the characteristics of cyanobacteria on the frequency.④To get the texture characteristics value of cyanobacteria.(2) Achieving monitoring timely of a specific folder on the server by console application. When the Erhai’s image is transmitted to this folder by network, the server analysis and process this image automatically by threshold of cyanobacteria which is obtained by the former function. It can achieve the ultimate goal of cyanobacteria identification.
