Flatness is one of the important indexes of plate and strip, thickness is another. Thickness control technology has been very mature, but the thickness of the strip shape control system is a complex variable. There is a strong coupling relationship between flatness and thickness control, the thickness of the improvement of control accuracy is directly contributing to the problem of strip shape control.Although HC mill, CVC mill and PC mill are very common in industrial production, the improvement of the strip shape only through the optimization of steel rolling equipment, strip itself factors for plate research is relatively lack. These factors of strip itself factors cannot be ignored, they can even produce a great impact on the strip shape rolling.Although the finite element simulation model of strip rolling has a lot of, many scholars in the simulation process made a lot of idealized conditions, and a lot of practical problems were simplified or supposed. It has a large impact on strip shape change and computing precision.So the laboratory four high reversible cold rolling mill finite element model is established on the basis of a large number of experimental in this article. The characteristics of this model is setting the roll and roll diameter to the elastic-plastic body, so as to better fit the actual working condition.By analyzing the experimental data and simulation data, the influence law of strip shape changing with the width of workpiece is obtained. And the width of workpiece how to affect the roll flattening and the roll bending deformation was further studied through the established finite element model.The results are unable to get only through the experiment, and its accuracy cannot guarantee only through simulation, this is why this paper set up a consistent simulation model with experimental data. In this paper, the main research contents and results are as follows:(1) In the speed range of the experiment, the vertical rigidity of mill is reduced along with the increase of rolling speed, and the lateral stiffness of mill with the speed of change is not monotonous, but volatility. The lateral stiffness and longitudinal stiffness are optimal when the rolling speed is 0.2 m/s; Due to large width, mill of lateral stiffness and longitudinal stiffness are larger, so the rolling mill gets good strip shape when rolling the length of workpiece close to the rolling body, and the thickness of the control is the most accurate;(2) In the plate width range of the experiment, the longitudinal stiffness and the lateral stiffness of the mill are increased with the plate width increasing. But the form of increasing and the trend is different. This is because the result of comprehensive action of the distribution of rolling force and rolling force;(3) In the scope of the rolled piece board width, work roll elastic flattening is bigger, beyond the range in width, the roll elastic flattening decrease quickly, and board within the scope of 180 mm wide, the flexibility of work roll flattening is increased with the increase of plate width, the width of 220 mm, the elastic flattening of work roll is reduced, the trend and work roll and backup roll flattening generally consistent, but the width of 60 mm is a special case;(4) With the increase of plate width, the deflection of backup roller and the deflection of work roll change trend is consistent, namely in the width of 100 mm to 220 mm within the scope, the work roller and backup roller deflection is along with the increase with the increase of the width, but the width is narrower with special case.
