The zircon pigment has been widly used in the high-temperature ceramic,for its good high temperature stablility and capability of coloration,excellent chemical stability,a wide range of colors and superior corrosion resistance.But due to the sysnthesis temperature of zirconium silicate is extremely high,the fabricating technique of zircon pigment with solid/liquid phase synthesis method has many problems,such as the higher calcination temperature, the larger particle size,the lower degree of inclusion and high-costing.Because the main coloring agent of green pigments using chromium oxide,so green pigments colour have some drawbacks of the lower color and vividness,the uneven tones,the heavy metal polloution of chromium ions.In this paper,we prepared Tb-zircon pigments 、 Tb-V-zircon pigments and Zr Si O4/Cd(SxSe1-x) inclusion pigments using industrial-grade zirconium oxychloride and sodium silicate as raw materials via sol-coprecipitation.The morphology and structure of the pigments were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), environmental scaning electron microscopy(ESEM) and energy dispersive X-ray(EDX).The main contents and outcomes are as follows:(1)The Tb-zircon yellow pigments were prepared by thermal decompositon of the precursors obtained via sol-copreciptitation method.The results shows that’s:the most suitable mineralizer was Li F;the best ratio of Zr:Si:Tb was 1:1.2:0.05,under the calcining temperature of 950℃,the XRD results showed obvious diffraction of zirconium silicate.The colorimetric test results showed that the best calcining temperature was 1150℃.(2)The Tb-V-zircon green pigments were prepared by thermal decompositon of the precursors obtained via sol-copreciptitation method.The SEM results showed the average particle diameter is 1~5μm;.The colorimetric test results showed that the best preparation conditions were when the reactants’ ratio of Zr:Si:Tb:V was 1:1.2:0.05:0.02,calcinations temperature was 1150℃,the mineralizer was Li F.(3) The zircon/Cd(SxSe1-x) inclusion pigments were prepared by thermal decompositon of the precursors obtained via sol-coprecipitation method. Results showed that the zircon/Cd(SxSe1-x) red pigment could be available at calcination temperature of 950℃, this colored glaze was vermeil and flamboyant, which satisfied the grade ceramic decoration that was fired at 1200℃~1250℃.
