This thesis is divided into two parts: the first part summarizes the research progress of non-metallic reagents promoted oxidative dehydrogenative coupling reaction. The second part describes the studyes of the reactions, including triarylaminium salt initiated aerobic oxidative Mannich reaction of tetrahydroisoquinolines with ketones; and CBr4 mediated cross dehydrogenative coupling of isochromans with ketones.1. A catalytic amount of triarylaminium salt is proven to be an efficient initiator for oxidative Mannich reaction of tertiary amines and nonactivated ketones under mild neutral conditions. Air is essential for this reaction and acts as the terminal oxidant.Six examples of intramolecular cyclized products are also delivered.2. In the presence of catalytic amounts of CBr4(a metal-free mediator), an unexpected oxidative dehydrogenative coupling of isochromans with ketones occurred to construct new C sp3–C sp3 bonds. The reactions were performed under simple solventfree aerobic conditions.
