Research And Practice Of Leather Product Design In The View Of Daily Life

From a historical point of view, Leather sculpture originated in daily physical production,and it went through a variety of process development thanks to the hands of the cobbler. But, due to the industrial revolution, machine production brings huge influence to the development of leather sculpture. Then, leather sculpture is away from daily life farther and farther. It is confined to the area of arts and crafts after that.This paper hope to realize the transformation of leather sculpture from traditional to modern,and design the leather sculpture product of satisfied daily needs.This paper combed the connection of daily life with leather sculpture product, and also proposed an product design concept base on the traditional culture. This paper tries to build a starting point of taking satisfied daily needs as functionality, and do some research about leather sculpture product base on the modern aesthetic view. This paper base on the area of daily needs, did a series of design experiment about mold vegetable tanned leather. On that basis, author combed the design concept of modern leather sculpture product,advocate the design method of leather sculpture product. In view of life style. At the same time, author did some design experiments on leather sculpture product about techniques, the charming of material and Facing daily needs.
