| The production and consumption of nonferrous alloy in China have ranked among the world’s leading countries, but there was a big gap in the non-ferrous alloy reutilization compared with developed countries. Furthermore, the demand of the continuous extrusion alloy round bar may be effectively meet by using the level of preparation of the alloy rod continuous casting technology, which have good economic benefits for the 3003ã€3012 alloy aluminum and Zn-Al alloy rod in high market price.To promote the recycling of aluminum resources in the region, we proposed that 3003,3012 aluminum alloy and Zn-Al alloy rods, scrap aluminum as raw material, were prepared by using horizontal continuous casting technology. This rods were also as a follow-up to the continuous extrusion production of raw materials. The specific contents are as follows:1. Test plans for preparing aluminum alloy and zinc alloy round rods were presented in this paper. The preparation technology of alloy round bar was horizontal continuous casting technology. In order to achieve continuous production, two small capacity melting furnaces (600kg) were using cooperatively at the same time.Casting furnace chamber was modified to significantly improve the insulation effect far 8.82%. Horizontal continuous casting mold with internal components made of copper and stainless steel exterior mold base was designed.2. The formulas among the technological parameters are partly deduced by computational heat transfer. The expression regarding the horizontal continuous casting parameters of casting temperature, speed and cooling water flow for the round billet can be elicited by the simplification of boundary conditions.3. The range of the horizontal continuous casting process parameters of Zn-10Al-2Cu alloy rod can be partly obtained via the theoretical analysis and test demonstration. Its corresponding casting temperatures is 440-500℃, the metal liquid level heights is 10-20mm, the lubricating oil flows is 25-45 drops/min respectively,the casting speed is 800-1200mm/min and the cooling water flow is 1.5-3.10kg/min.4. The range of the horizontal continuous casting process parameters of 3003 aluminum alloy rod can be partly obtained via the theoretical analysis and test demonstration. Its corresponding casting temperatures is 680-720℃, the metal liquid level heights is 10-30mm, the lubricating oil flows is 20-45 drops/min respectively, the casting speed is 800-1200mm/min and the cooling water flow is 2.67-4.54kg/min.5. The range of the horizontal continuous casting process parameters of 3012 aluminum alloy rod can be partly obtained via the theoretical analysis and test demonstration. Its corresponding casting temperatures is 680-730℃, the metal liquid level heights is 10-30mm, the lubricating oil flows is 20-45 drops/min respectively, the casting speed is 700-1200mm/min and the cooling water flow is 2.21-4.58kg/min. |
