China, a wide country with rich mineral resources, stored almost 158 kinds of materials and distributed extensively. Many mineral substances was selected before stone-breaking processing, so we need great number of industrial ball grinders. The most common burning tile accident we meet during choosing mineral ball crusher caused by the instability of lubrication pressure. Therefore, the lubrication pressure is crucial parameter to the ball mill.In this paper, aiming at the instability of lubrication pressure. The status and background are analyzed of the ball lubricating oil system research, and made out an indirect approach that is based on FPGA inspection. Not only the burning tile accident caused by too high or too low oil pressure was solved but also intelligence system was enhanced.CCD camera is used to capture the spot gauge plate video stream image by the system, Then images are acquired dial transmission frame by frame by the SAA7113 video capture chip FPGA for processing to the processor. From the camera capture an image to dial the number will be some image distortion situation, so interpolation method distortion correction, so that subsequent fine processing provides a good prerequisite. While using DoG filter, Marr-Hildreth edge detector, Hough transform and OPTA algorithm gauges image filtering, segmentation, extraction and digital refinement, and finally propose a searching the intersection point using horizontal and vertical endpoints (HVPP) and improved template matching algorithm the extracted identification numbers, thus realizing the intelligent hydraulic dial reading image.
