Nitrophenol is easily absorbed by skin and lungs, it is necessary to set up a determination method with easy operation and good Sensitive. Electrochemical methods had been deeply studied on the determinating Nitrophenol due to low detection limit, high selectivity and high sensitivity.The graphene oxide was prepared by the Hummers’ method in this paper, the gold nanoparticles was deposited on modified electrode by chronoamperometry,the electrochemical sensors was prepared for determination on Nitrophenol content. The modified electrodes were characterized by the methods of SEM and CV. The results showed that nanogold, nafion and graphene oxide was successfully modified on the surface of glassy carbon electrode. Under the condition of the optimal test,the behavior of Nitrophenol on electrochemical modified electrodes was determined. According to the results, the peak current of nitrophenol is proportional to its concentration in the range form 1.0×10-7 mol/L to 9.0×10-6mol/L(in HAc-NaAc buffer solution, pH=4.8), linear equation of o-NP is y=36.9x+0.44, the detection limit of o-NP 5.0×10-8 mol/L.The average recovery of the experiment was 101.5%-107.0%. Linear equation of m-NP is y=47.7x+0.46, the detection limit of m-NP 4.0×10-8 mol/L.The average recovery the experiment was 99.5%-105.5%.Linear equation of p-NP is y=38.4x+0.31. the detection limit of p-NP 1.0×10-8 mol/L. The average recovery of the experiment was 99%-103.5%. The result indicated that reduction current peaks of o-, m-, and p- nitrophenol are separated entirely at modified electrode. According to the results,Nano gold/graphene oxide/nafion modified electrodes for the determination of Nitrophenol possessed many characteristics such as low detection limit, high sensitivity, good selectivity, etc.
