Currently horizontal well technology has become an important and efficient means to develop bottom water reservoir, at the same time, the problems as the quick decline of production and fast breakthrough of bottom water are prominent. Currently, C oilfield has entered high water cut stage, restraining the development efficiency. So this paper takes stinger completion technique apply to C oilfield as the research object, establishing a stinger optimization design method in order to decrease water cut and increase oil production.Stinger completion technique can equalize the downhole fluid flow, thus delay the breakthrough of bottom water. In this paper, a feasibility analysis of stinger completion technique for C oilfield is carried out by studying stinger completion fundamental and analyzing the water output characteristics. Based on geologic data, fluid properties and horizontal well structure,12horizontal wells are evaluated and stinger completion technique is recommended to some target wells. An exhaustive stinger optimization design for well A is proposed after optimizing the location, structure, length and diameter of stinger. This paper also improved the design level of stinger completion technique optimization, in order to control water and improve the ultimate recovery of C oilfield. In this paper, an improvement of stinger completion technique is put forward based on conventional stinger and a basic experiment is designed and conducted to evaluate the filled material. Due to limited conditions, the filled material needs further selection and research.
