With the increasing of global demand for energy, our country has been stepping up construction of national energy reserve. The capacity will reach millions or even tens of millions of cubic meters. However, at the present stage of China’s refined oil reserve capacity is relatively weak, and resisting risk ability and responding to emergencies is relatively weak, so China needs to build larger or more tanks to increase crude oil reserve capacity. Along with the large-scale trend of storage tank, the domestic and foreign scholars have conducted more research on its design and construction, also made some scientifically theoretical achievements. However, if one hundred thousand storage tank completes the engineering application the existing research is still far from enough to enrich and perfect, which need to carry out more detailed analysis and structure optimization to provide the theoretical support. This paper widely survey the related data of large storage tank at home and abroad, and combined with the requirements of design and construction of large storage tank technology in our country, studied the design and analysis crude oil storage tanks of100000cubic meters, mainly including the following aspects:Completed the related research data collection and field investigation at home and abroad, and analyzed the current domestic mainly tank design units, large tank design standard and tank with high-strength steel, grasped the selection that the structure and size of the current domestic large-scale floating roof tank design in the actual situation. Compared and analyzed selection and differences of the current large oil tank material between domestic and foreign, and made a description of the differences.Established the force model of large storage tank, analyzed the force of the tank wall and the stress of junction edge between tank wall and tank bottom. Storage tank wall mainly stress on the static pressure, and the static pressure is a triangular distribution. Increasing gradually from top to bottom. After the tank filling liquid, along with the radial, the upper part of the tank can deform freely under the inner pressure. But at the connecting part of the tank wall and a tank bottom, due to the constraint of tank bottom, the radial displacement of the tank wall here is zero, the bottom of the tank has a certain distance from the foundation. Given the formula of tank wall bending stress, circumferential stress and tank bottom stress, laid the theoretical foundation for the finite element analysis of the fillet weld.Using the the American Petroleum Institute API650standard to design the structure of the large tank, given the concrete scheme of structure technology about welding, drainage, sealing and anti-corrosion. Analyzed the key and difficult of structure technology in the the actual construction process.Established the tank model by using the ANSYS finite element analysis. In hydrostatic test conditions the stress distribution of the body parts are studied. And discussed the edges of the plate, the length of the extension length, thickness and height of welding to stress influence rule of the different parts of tank, Obtained the economically design dimensions, so as to realize the optimization design of the local structure of the tank body.To sum up, based on the domestic and foreign existing research on large storage tank, combined with our country actual situation about crude oil storage tank of100000cubic meters design and construction, designed the external floating roof tanks of100000party, and analyzed the key parts of tank. Finally provided a reliable basis for optimum design about crude oil storage tank of one hundred thousand Party, which is conducive to improve Chinese refined oil reserve capacity.
