Acrylic-acid and butyl-acrylate are two key chemical raw materials and have the extensive application range. The most widely used production method is two-steps-propyleneoxidation method currently. With the increasing demand and production of the domestic market for acrylic-acid and butyl-acrylate, high concentration organic wastewater generated in the production process also increased. Two kinds of wastewater has complex composition, serious water quality fluctuation and toxic organic pollutants, which do damage to environment and human health. In this paper, a comprehensive analysis of organic pollutants in acrylic-acid and butyl-acrylate wastewater was conducted by different methods. The methods will help to grasp the emission characteristics of acrylic-acid and butyl-acrylate device wastewater for further, also provide evidence for the selection of wastewater treatment technology.Combined with the production method, the detection results of UV absorption spectra and three-dimensional fluorescence spectra showed that, two kinds of production wastewater contains organic acid, benzene, alcohols, esters, aldehydes and other organic matter.The qualitative and quantitative method for the semi-volatile organic pollutants in acrylic-acid plant wastewater was established. The Liquid-liquid Extraction-Gas chromategraphy-mass spectrometry was used to detect the 13 kinds of organic compounds. The effects of the influence factor on the extraction yields were investigated. Under the established experimental conditions, The detection limits of the method were in the range of 0.001~0.18 μg/L, the relative standard deviations(RSDs, n=7) were less than 3.5%, and the recovery rates were in the range of 95%~114%.A new method of purge and trap-gas chromatography for the detection of the volatile organic pollutants in acrylic-acid production wastewater were established and the process of pre-treatment of samples were optimized. The qualitative analysis results showed that the acrylic-acid production wastewater eight kinds of compounds. Under the optimized experimental conditions, The detection limits of the method were in the range of 0.37~0.78 μg/L, RSDs(n=7) were less than 4.8%. the average blank recovery rates were stable and in the range of 86%~132%.An analytical method for the organic pollutants in butyl-acrylate wastewater was established, which was carried out by liquid-liquid extraction pretreatment and then gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Under the optimized condition, a total of 14 kinds of organic matter in wastewater were detected qualitatively. The recovery rates of the components were in the range of 78% ~111%, the RSDs(n=7) were less than 3.0%, and the method detection limits ranged from 0.1 to 1.6 μg/L.A method was developed for the determination of acetic acid, propionic acid, acrylic acid in acrylic acid wastewater by Ion-Chromatography(IC), with the IC conditions optimized. The method has good linearity and excellent accuracy, the method detection limits were in the range of 0.028~0.043 mg/L, the RSDs(n=7) were less than 0.5%,and the recovery rates were in the range of 95%~103%.
