The present status and progress of research on the separation and concentration of Cr, Cu, Mn, Pb in seawater at home and abroad were reviewed in this paper. According to the characteristics of PAN-S loaded strong alkaline anion exchange fiber can selectively adsorb some metal ions on right condition, concentration of trace amount of Cr, Cu, Mn, Pb in seawater before its determination by GFAAS using the PAN-S loaded strong alkaline anion exchange fiber were investigated.1. The optimized conditions of concentration and elution of trace amount of Cr in seawater using the PAN-S loaded strong alkaline anion exchange fiber were investigated. The results showed that when the volume of seawater sample was within 1000mL, pH=5, Cr was concentrated on the column at the flow rate within 12mL·min-1, then it was eluted from the column completely by 10mL 0.1mol·L-1 HNO3. The contents of coexisting ions in eluent were:Ca2+(0.029mg), Mg2+(0.030mg), Na+(0.086mg), K+(0.023mg), Ba2+(12.5μg), Al3+(0.614μg), Zn2+(15.2μg), Fe3+(0.041 μg), Ni2+(2.07μg), Cd2+(1.55μg), it had no effect on the determination. The detection limit was 0.013μg·L-1. The recovery was between 95.0%~104% and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was between 2.2%~ 4.1%. The method was validated by the determination of the standard material GBW(E)080040 and NASS-6.2. A method of concentration and elution of trace amount of Cu in seawater using the PAN-S loaded strong alkaline anion exchange fiber were investigated. The condition of concentration and elution were optimized. The results showed that when the volume of seawater was within 1 OOOmL, pH=5, Cu was successfully concentrated on the column at the flow rate within RmL·min-1, then it was eluted from the column quantitatively by 10mL 0.1mol·L-1 HNO3. The contents of coexisting ions in eluent were:Ca2+(0.027mg), Mg2+(0.032mg), Na+(0.085mg), K+(0.025mg), Ba2+(11.4μg), Al3+(0.557μg), Zn2+(14.9μg), Fe3+(0.052μg), Ni2+(1.87μg), Cd2+(1.54μg), it had no effect on the determination. The detection limit was 0.016μg·L-1. The recovery was in the range of 93.0%~99.9% and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was in the range of 3.1%~4.6%. The method was validated by the determination of the standard material GBW(E)080040 and NASS-6.3. The conditions of concentration and elution of trace amount of Mn in seawater using the PAN-S loaded strong alkaline anion exchange fiber were optimized. The results showed that when the volume of seawater sample within 1000mL, pH=5, Mn was concentrated on the column at the flow rate within 8mL·min-1, then it were eluted from the column quantitatively by 10mL 0.1mol·L-1 HNO3. The contents of coexisting ions in eluent were:Ca2+(0.026mg), Mg2+(0.029mg), Na+(0.083mg), K+(0.024mg), Ba2+(12.9μg), Al3+(0.627μg), Zn2+(15.6μg), Fe3+(0.039μg), Ni2+(1.87μg), Cd2+(1.29μg), it had no effect on the determination. The detection limit was 0.005μg·L-1. The recovery was between 93.3%~103% and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was between 0.8%~ 2.4%. The method was validated by the determination of the standard material GBW(E)080040 and NASS-6.4. The conditions of concentration and elution of trace amount of Pb in seawater using the PAN-S loaded strong alkaline anion exchange fiber were optimized. The results showed that when the volume of seawater sample was within 1000mL, pH=5, Pb was concentrated on the column at the flow rate within 6mL·min-1, then it was eluted from the column quantitatively by 10mL 0.1mol·L-1 HNO3. The contents of coexisting ions in eluent were:Ca2+(0.034mg), Mg2+(0.027mg), Na+(0.081mg), K+(0.025mg), Ba2+(13.2μg), Al3+(0.529μg), Zn2+(14.4μg), Fe3+(0.046μg), Ni2+(2.11μg), Cd2+(1.47μg), it had no effect on the determination. The detection limit was 0.008μg·L-1. The recovery was between 94.7%~98.7% and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was between 1.4%~ 4.6%. The method was validated by the determination of the standard material GBW(E)080040 and NASS-6.
