Improving the stability level of oilfield voltage and preventing voltage collapse accident is to develop the field production. This paper studies oilfield power system voltage stability based on Load Characteristic with bifurcation theory. In this paper, Firstly, analyzing simplified oilfield network with simulation method, and the result shows that there is bifurcation phenomena in the oilfield power system network, and then, after summarizing the existing bifurcation point research method comprehensively, on the basis of existing method, this paper improves the method of finding Hopf bifurcation point, which makes the method more accurately, and the example shows that it is indeed right and more accurately. Then using the improved method, this paper analyzes a typical power system with the constant power model and tow kinds of induction motor model separately, and compares the affect of different load models on power system voltage stability. The result shows that the constant power model is too conservative, and the affect of the tow kinds of induction motor model are nearly the same, we can use the simple one to reduce the computation,. Finally analyzes the Tabei grid voltage stability using the induction motor load model, and determines the condition of the Tabei grid voltage stability and the lord margin.
