In this paper,the use of metallomics, especially nuclear analytical techniques based on ICP-MS,combined with mathematics, statistics and computer technology, in the basis of the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the metal elements of common foodborne pathogens,to find different species specific "fingerprint", and also find that it carries traces of the metal environment(information), and build a net work with the metal group fingerprint database foreach of foodborne pathogenic micro organisms. Then through the statistical analysis and other mathematical knowled geestablish a discriminating against foodborne pathogenic microbial species identification systems to achieve rapid identification of foodborne pathogens.This paper selected 32 foodborne microorganisms from the seven categories,by ICP-MS analysis technology, respectively to measure the content of 57 kinds of trace elements of each bacterium in the body.It is concluded that the 8 kinds of trace elements(Si, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, zinc, Sb, Ba) in the decision on the category of these strains have a significant effect by partial least-squares regression analysis,and then the results show that the 8 kinds of trace elements is the characteristic element of the classification of 32 foodborne microorganisms, through cluster analysis, principal component analysis and other statistical analysis.The discriminant analysis?s results shows that the 32 species can be classified by the above 8 kinds of trace elements, and the misjudgment rate is small.It has proven that the 8 kinds of trace elements(Si, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, zinc, Sb, Ba) is the markup elements of 32 foodborne microorganisms again. Metal genomics technology to identify food-borne pathogens, is still in the exploratory stage, maybe there are many shortcomings under the existing conditions, but in the long run, once the successful application of the method to practice, compared to traditional methods of identification in conjunction with morphology and serological and bacteriophage infection aliquots type process-oriented.It is not only saving a lot of manpower and time cost, but its accuracy will also be significantly increase, which not only facilitates the testing personnel, but greatly benefit mankind, has important practical significance.
