The formation pressure is the energy of exploitation of oil and gas fields, and also the important and basic parameters. The level of formation pressure of the reservoir, not only determines the properties of oil and gas fluids, but also determines the development of oil and gas fields, technical features of the oil and gas exploitation mode, economic costs, and the final recovery ratio. Therefore, for an oil and gas field, at the stage of exploration and the whole development process, it is very important to obtain the basic parameters of formation pressure.By means of logging datas of sand/shale formation of Shen 257 block, using acoustic logging and resistivity method, and applying the compaction theory, this paper predicts the formation pressure in this area. The paper researches the pressure distribution of the block, analyzes the mechanism of the abnormal pressure and logging response characteristics, and systematically apply the comprehensive logging parameters. It shows that the area of pressure mostly belong to the normal pressure system, and the formation pressure of local Es4 appears abnormally high pressure, but the range is not high, which mainly distributed in the eastern and central block. By using the pressure software,the paper practices it in Shen xx well. Application results show that the measured result is reliable, and can be applied to other area drillings.
