Vinyl acetate is a kind of important raw material for chemical production, whose demand is increasing, and plays an important role in the field of chemical industry. In the synthesis process of vinyl acetate, variation of catalyst activity is difficult to accurately measure during the process of temperature parameter optimization. Many manufacturers are in the continuous exploration and research. The subject intends to use a method of soft sensor for accurate measurement of the catalyst activity.First of all, this subject analyses the background of all aspects of the process. Understand the synthesis process, qualitatively analyses the factors having influence on the section.Besides image fitting with MATLAB software according to the data collected in the field, quantitatively research the change trend of catalyst activity with the change of factors.Then, the subject studies the soft measurement respectively in variable selection process, data processing, model building and model selection; and carries on the thorough analysis to the modeling process, compares different modeling methods comprehensively. This paper focuses on the research of support vector machine algorithm, the neural network algorithm and the combination approach of hybrid modeling.Finally, in order to realize the soft measurement of the catalyst activity, the subject adopts the hybrid modeling method combining mathematical regression algorithm and support vector machine algorithm and the neural network method to measure. Use MATLAB software to train two different soft-measuring models and verify them. Select the model with high precise results and stable performance as the soft measurement model to realize the soft measurement of the catalyst activity.
