Green chemistry is that a major chemical to make long-term plans for the future. Green chemistry defined as using the principle of chemical, when the design, manufacture and application of chemical products to reduce or eliminate the use of harmful substances or produce. Some stoichiometric oxidant is often used in the organic oxidation reaction, although its catalytic effect is good, but can cause great harm to the operation process, because itself exists some toxic, corrosive, etc.In this study, a lot of research was implemented in order to select suitable catalyst for organic oxidation process. However, the results showed that catalytic effect is not ideal after the selected catalyst was synthesized. To my surprise, potassium sulfate can be combined during the synthesis of manganese sulfate, so we studied the synthesis of manganese octoate. The suitable reaction conditions of synthesis of the manganese octoate obtained by adopting the single factor and orthogonal experiments. First of all, in the synthesis of potassium isooctanoate, molar ratio of potassium hydroxide to isooctoate1.5: 1 and 1: 1, the reaction temperature control at 75 ℃. And ethylhexanoate manganese synthesis process, the reaction temperature control at 90 ℃ water-oil ratio 1: 1, then the yield of ethylhexanoate manganese reached 74.9 %.Potassium sulfate could be co-production in ethylhexanoate potassium and manganese sulfate synthesis process, but potassium sulfate production was influenced by water-oil ratio. A suitable reagent salting was choosed by the research of the potassium-isopropanol-water aqueous biphasic system. After completion of the reaction, manganese sulfate might be added which made potassium sulfate precipitation, while the formation of potassium sulfate-water-isopropanol solution may be returned to the generator iso-manganese octoate proceed Heterobinuclear manganese octoate. This process could save raw materials. In addition, we explored the ratio of amount of manganese sulfate and potassium sulfate was added between the amount of precipitation of potassium. The results showed that the optimum ratio was 1.2:1, potassium sulfate-isopropanol-water system potassium sulfate precipitation amount reached a maximum 1.95 g.
