Drilling technology occupied a pivotal position in the mineral resources exploration and exploitation, the geological engineering, the coal mine bolt support, gas drainage and in the construction of national engineering. Advanced drilling technology directly influencethe project construction cost and efficiency on the geological and mining. Drill bit as the tool of drilling technology in the broken rock, the type selection, structure design and the quality are the key factors that determine pore forming efficiency and drilling cost. With material science getting breakthrough in the field of industrial applications, diamond composites gradually become the latest must-haves in the field of drilling.Since the 1970s, Polycrystalline Diamond Compact Bit published is widely used in the field of drilling, because of high drilling speed, rock breaking efficiency, Bit good reliability and long life of Bit and drilling comprehensive economic efficiency higher characteristic in soft to medium hard formation.With the progress of computer technology and all kinds of auxiliary design software and various analysis software, the computer simulation technique has come into the mind of the people and also introduced to the bit design.It brings the opportunity to solve the problem of PDC bit design individuation,that appearance of the computer simulation design and simulation analysis technology. At present, the computer simulation technology has been widely used in the process of rock bit drilling, on the basis of predecessors’ research, the simulation technique applied to design of PDC bit personalization is feasible.With the progress of science and technology, computer technology development, the computer simulation technique has come into the mind of the people, all kinds of auxiliary design software and various analysis software, the computer simulation technology is also introduced to the bit design. Appearance of the computer simulation design and simulation analysis technology to solve the problem of PDC bit design individuation brings the opportunity. At present, the computer simulation technology has been widely used in the process of rock bit drilling, on the basis of predecessors’ research, the simulation technique is applied to in the design of PDC bit personalization is feasible.On this basis, this article by hot-pressing tire postures PDC coring bit design as an example, respectively, with the traditional design method and simulation design method of bit design and analysis, the design of the two methods of cost and design cycle. Traditional design method is trial and error, to seek solutions from the failure, improving bit design, prototype manufacturing, field test and evaluate the results of the process, until meet the performance requirements of products, therefore, the design cycle is very long, design cost is high. Simulation analysis method is the use of three-dimensional design software Pro/E, the parametric design of bit entity model is established in this paper, using the finite element analysis software ANSYS to analyze of the forced state of a bit model, different elevation, rotational speed, the relationship between stress exerted on it when the Angle with the PDC, experiment, when the elevation Angle is 15° and PDC by minimal stress; PDC by stress decreases with the increase of rotational speed. According to the results of simulation analysis of the drilling bit performance, finally get the optimal design and the simulation research of the design process of the cost of design and the design cycle.Compared with the traditional design method, the computer simulation design method can accomplish the bit in a relatively short time of "design-analysis-improvements-evaluation" the entire process, shorten the design cycle, need not to drill in the process of the simulation design for manufacture, reduce the design cost, improve the design efficiency, and provide theoretical analysis results for bit personalized performance, promote the development of personalized bit.
