A shower is one of the key components in the bathing facility. Because there are many different types of shower on the market, people give the focus on these quality. The shower’s development is still based on experience in most of the sanitary enterprises, and few companies design shower from mechanism of internal fluid flow, whereas the shower spray effect is closely related to internal fluid flow. So, this paper uses the commercial software FLUENT to simulate internal flow field of shower and there are a part experimental testing on shower. The main research includes:Firstly, each outlet water velocity distribution curve, distribution of pressure and velocity vector is obtained by numerical analysis of internal flow field in single-function shower. According to the simulation results of the old shower, the mold structural have been modified. The results show that, the improved shower flow rate of the outlet distribution is more uniform, the vortex is smaller and the distribution of flow is also better than the old one.Secondly, according to the two-phase flow theory, using numerical simulation analyses internal flow of air-injection shower in the different water inlet velocity. Distribution of phase fraction, air volume, each outlet water velocity is obtained. The variation of the flow characteristics of the internal flow field is changed as the flow rate by comparisons. By the size of the intake air volume and the mixing effect of the water and air, the paper give the improving models. The improved structure intake air volume becomes large and gas-liquid mixing efficiency of shower cavity is better.Thirdly, on the basis of the theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, each of the flow magnitude of the outlet is tested by experiment under different inlet pressure on air-injection shower. The numerical simulation results compared with testing results, and they are agreed well with each other. The simulation results are verified.This paper is employed by numerical simulation analysis and experimental study of single-function and air-injection shower. There are getting some meaningful conclusions to help developer to effective forecast the product defects that may occur in the model designing stage, which can reduce development cycles and put the shower more reasonable and effective into production.
