The gentamicin wastewater has high concentration of organic matter, suspended solids and refractory material with concomitant strong microbial inhibitory and lower biodegradation capability. At present, it is different to achieve ideal effect using domestic wastewater treatment process, which is far behind the technological progress and development of the pharmaceutical industry. On the basis of domestic and international research, this paper focused on the comprehensive combined treatment of gentamicin wastewater by chitosan flocculation and dphotocatalysis DBD technology. Since the gentamicin bacterial residues was largely produced and very difficult to treat, it is urgent to find a reasonable and safe way to dispose antibiotic bacterial residues for pharmaceutical enterprises. This study discussed the gentamicin bacterial residues feedstuff through animal experiment.(1) Using chitosan, the cationic organic flocculant to flocculate gentamycin primary wastewater. The flocculation effect was studied by Single factor and the orthogonal experiment, the best flocculation conditions were as follows:chitosan 2 g/L, pH5.0, settling time 24h, stirring time 30min. The removal rates of SS and CODcr under the optimum conditions were 88.21% and 34.36%, respectively. The concentration of SS was significantly decreased from 2800 mg/L to 330mg/L, which provides a good foundation for the follow-up treatment. But the concentration of CODcr decreased from 22400 mg/L to 14700mg/L, the removal rate was only 34.36%, which did not achieve the ideal effect and still need to explore new methods.(2) By single factor test and multifactor orthogonal test, the optimum treatment conditions of dielectric barrier discharge-photocatalysis technology were determined: fill rate 100%, discharge voltage 20KV, pH6.0, H2O2 dosage 0.5mL/100mL, the processing time 40min. The removal rates of SS and CODcr under the optimum conditions were 73.08% and 77.17%, respectively. The residual quantity of SS is 88.85 mg/L less than 100 mg/L, which has reached the fermentation pharmaceutical industrial water pollutant discharge standards. But the residual quantity of CODcr remains high at 3356 mg/L after this treatment. The research on the effects of the initial concentration of the wastewater on photocatalysis DBD technology, showed that when the the initial concentration was 1/32 (460 mg/L) of the secondary effluent and treated under the best treatment conditions of the photocatelysis DBD for 40 minutes The residual quantity of CODcr is 183.43 mg/L< 200 mg/L, which meets fermentation pharmaceutical industrial water pollutant discharge standards.(3)To confirm whether the gentamicin bacterial residue can be applied in the feed, the gentamicin bacterial residue were added in the mice diet according to a certain proportion. By testing the gentamicin in the serum of mice, the negative result showed that the gentamicin can be applied in the feed. The study on the weight and the gain ratio of mice indicated that the nutritive value of the gentamicin bacterial residue was low, but with the essential amino-acids, inorganic salt and other nutrients for mice, the appropriate addition of the gentamicin bacterial residue could promote the growth of mice and improve the utilization rate of feed. When the gentamicin bacterial residue was added by a propotion of 5% in the feed, the average weight and the feed gain ratio of mice were greater than the control group. This study shows that the natural polymer flocculant chitosan flocculation and dielectric barrier discharge-Gentamicin photocatalytic wastewater treatment with a combination of low energy consumption, simple operation, and low cost. And there have not any report about such study. The application of gentamicin in waste feed, could not only solve the pollution problems caused by the waste, but also can be turning waste into treasure. It provide a new way to solve the pollytion problems caused by the gentamicin waste.
