In recent years, the new technology of the V–process casting has been widely used,but as the process use dry sand for modelling, making the workshop have a seriousproblem of dust pollution. The situation can affect the health of workers and at the sametime restrict the V-process of casting to grow further.This article aims to put forward a kind of effective method to control the workshop,sair dust pollution. We detected the dust concentration profiles in the V-process workshopsby visiting many V-process casting enterprises, entering the production site, using themodern dust concentration testing equipment. At the late stage of the subject, we putforward the method of spraying water in workshops to controlling the dust pollution andcarried out the field experiments at appropriate V-process casting workshop. Verified thevalidity of the measure by comparing the change of the dust concentration before and afterthe spray.The spray system to reducing the dust concentration is through spraying out very finewater into the air, enhancing the collision of dust particles and increasing the weight of thetiny particles to accelerate its settlement. The article experimented and compared the spraysystem of two fluid spray system of water and compressed air、high pressure pipe spraysystem and mobile portable spray system, identified the best working parameters of thethree systems for reducing the dust in V-process casting workshops. Finally, the spraysystem was used and promoted in Hefei He Li forklift factory、Jiangsu Xiang Mengprecision casting company. Results showed that the spray system can reduce the dustconcentration significantly and at the same time increase the air humidity, reduce thetemperature, improve the workshop environment to a great extent. The whole system has aless investment, low maintenance cost and does not affect the normal production process. At the last of the article, we explored the control measures of spray system, designeda dust concentration sensor. Through its integration with spray system to make the systemcan self-driven based on the change of the dust concentration. The sensor based on theprinciple of light absorption and finished the field test in V-process production workshop.
