Although parts of the horizontal well are do effective in some filed, there are still a lot of stripper horizontal gas wells, which were failed to get the industrial flow at the same time. In addition, the cost of horizontal wells for drilling, exploration, testing, repairing is higher than that of vertical wells, so sometimes the horizontal wells is not necessary when the vertical wells is available. As a result, how to evaluate the adaption and realize the efficient development of horizontal gas well have became the most urgent problem to nowadays.From a practical point of view the development effects, the horizontal gas well of Moxi L11gas pool in Sichuan Petroleum Gas Field has accessed to a high-yielding, which is the main development of technology, but the gas reservoir portion of horizontal wells in the production process exhibited pre-production and post-production effect in diminishing fast characteristics. Be based on the development theories of the vertical well, according to the use of horizontal wells core test data analysis, production of dynamic contrast, production capacity and capacity factors analysis, well test data analysis, horizontal wells and stable capability analysis and other means and methods by gas reservoir geology and development of research assessment and other factors, this paper aims to determine the develop suitability of horizontal well according to the analysis of geology and exploit aspects. Finally, the adaptation level of gas reservoir developing by horizontal well technology is determined, meanwhile the adaptation of horizontal well in Sichuan region Moxi Gas Field L11gas reservoir is also evaluated.
