As human industrial society and economic activities growing, oil and natural gas has become a necessity for human production and life. Developing oil and natural gas can’t be separated from drilling. Drilling bit as a primary tool for breaking rocks, so its structure properties directly impact the drilling quality level and cost. Currently, PDC drill bit is one of the most important rock breaking tools all over the world. However, PDC drill bit in drilling soft layer, prone to balling, and the mud pack has become the main failure mode of PDC bits. Solving the PDC bit balling problem, has become the instant work to research workers whom engaged in drilling fields.Between biological science and technology, the development of biomimetic is an important emerging cross disciplinary. Bionic technology has. been regarded as an important high-tech development. To identify the animal body surface non-smooth surface of the basic principles, anti-adhesion of PDC drill bit used for surface non-smooth surface, reduce debris attached to solve the PDC bit drilling in the soft layer on the surface of PDC. It has important research value and practical significance of the innovative thinking. The specific content of the article is as follows:1. Carrying PDC bit’s anti-balling and bionic non-smooth drag reduction technology research, analysing soil adhesion mechanism and bionic non-smooth surface, so we raised the PDC drill bits which are made with non-smooth surface and new anti-adhesion technology ideas.2. For the PDC bit balling, we’ve made modeling objects bionic structure which the base is soil animals’non-smooth geometric surface, proposed non-smoothness and non-smoothness of the parameters’effect on adhesion. Doing bionic non-smooth surface design.3. Tructural design and experimental specimens completed non-smooth surface machining.4. To carry out various geotechnical sliding resistance of non-smooth surface morphology, adhesion strength and adhesion condition experimental study.5. Experimental data processing and comparative analysis, analysis of non-smooth surface of the anti-adhesion effect and reasons to explore the non-smooth surface forms and geometric parameters of Adhesion and Resistance Reduction and create a non-smooth surface properties of Adhesion and Resistance Reduction Test methods.6. Using bionic non-smooth surface’s less impedance and adhesion reduction basic theory, with non-smooth surface soil adhesion assay results, the non-smooth surface structure is applied to the surface of the PDC bit design.
