Green chemicals are increasingly important in our lives, its non-toxic, biodegradable, pollution-free and other characteristics have been widely welcomed. Dimethyl carbonate and propylene carbonate are two green chemicals that are commonly used in the chemical industry, their synthesis and the desired catalysts are widely concerned. Currently, there are many methods for the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate and propylene carbonate, but we usually use propylene oxide and carbon dioxide as raw materials. After completing the synthesis of propylene carbonate, we can transesterification with methanol to get dimethyl carbonate.First we use K2O as the active component, with γ-A12O3as the active carrier, to prepare different loadings of K2O/γ-A12O3. We study its preparation conditions and do the XRD and TPD them. Then we use it as a catalyst for the synthesis of carbonate reaction, the reaction results are analyzed by gas chromatography to explore the relationship between product distribution and the acidity of the catalysts. Conversion of propylene oxide was significantly affected by temperature,180℃was suitable for conversion. The basic strength of the catalyst influence the distribution of the reaction product. The more strongly basic catalyst to promote the reaction of propylene carbonate and dimethyl carbonate. In addition, the paper also examines the zinc nitrate and aluminum nitrate as raw materials, prepared by different proportions of zinc and aluminum hydrotalcite and studied its crystal structure and acidity characteristics. Then we use it as a catalyst for the synthesis of carbonate reaction, the reaction results were analyzed by gas chromatography to explore the relationship between product distribution and the acidity of the catalysts. After the study, we know the basic sites of catalyst favor the reaction of dimethyl carbonate and propylene carbonate, the acid sites of the catalyst catalyzes a beneficial glycol ether. |
