Study On Synthesis Of Substituted Naphthofurans

This thesis deals with the study on Synthesis of substituted benzofurans and naphthofuran, It consists of two parts:the first is a review on new progress of the Synthesis of substituted benzofurans and naphthofuran. The second part describes two new methods offer the synthesis of substituted naphthofuran as follows:1. Tris(4-bromophenyl)aminium hexachloroantimonate (TBPA+) could efficiently induce the Friedel-Crafts alkylation of chalcone epoxides with2-naphthyl ethers producing a series of poly substituted1,2-dihydronaphtho[2,1-b]furans. And a simple and efficient one-pot tandem procedure was also developed for the synthesis of complex naphtho[2,1-b]furans.2.
