In this thesis, persimmon peel and waste paper were used as raw materials to prepare seven adsorbents. The different chemical modification methods were used according to the main compositions in persimmon peel (persimmon tannin) and waste paper (cellulose). And the adsorption behaviors of the adsorbents towards molybdenum and rhenium were investigated systematically, such as the adsorption mechanisms、the adsorption properties of thermodynamics and kinetics, which provided abundant fundamental data for the application of biomass-based adsorbents in industry. And the specified studies were as follows:First of all, persimmon peel was modified with formaldehyde to get APF gel, which had a high selectivity towards molybdenum with a remarkable adsorption amount (1.05mol-Mo (VI)/kg), and the process fitted Langmuir isotherm model. Since the polyphenols in the persimmon tannin were the adsorption sites. Additionally, its excellent adsorption characteristics for the separation of Mo (VI) and Re (VII) were confirmed by the adsorption and elution tests using a column packed with the APF gel.Secondly, waste paper was used as raw material to prepare six amino adsorbents with ammonia、methylamine、dimethylamine、diethylamine、triethylamine and ethylenediamine named after WP-NH2、WP-MA、WP-DMA、WP-DEA、WP-TEA and WP-en,respectively. Element analysis results showed that the degree of amino were very high, the grafting of N was corresponding to the calculation. The studies showed that the six amino adsorbents had their unique selectivity towards molybdenum and rhenium as well as other ions. And the factors that affected the adsorption were investigation by the adsorption mechanism and the functional amino groups. Finally, the adsorption behaviors of Mo (VI) and Re (VII) using tertiary-amine-type gel—WP-DMA were studied, such as the adsorption mechanisms、the adsorption properties of thermodynamics and kinetics. The column experiments for the industrial effluents indicated that the excellent separation of Mo (VI) and Re (VII) of WP-DMA, and the results also proved the stability and regenerable of WP-DMA.
