With the rapid growth of the economy and population, the social and economic activities are changing earth landscape and ecological environment rapidly, wildlife habitat quality and ecosystem security are under serious threatening, which result in the number of rare and endangered species decreased significantly even extinction, meanwhile, accelerate the rate of biodiversity’s loss, and ultimately lead to the serious imbalance of the ecological system. Therefore, to strengthen and improve the study and protection of the endangered wildlife habitat has become the focus of ensuring the ecosystem stability and sustainable development. The habitat evaluation has an important significance for protecting endangered wildlife and managing rare species. The Rhinopithecus roxellana of Shennongjia Nature Reserve in Sichuan is a rare and endangered species endemic to China, which is a national key protection object, so that, there are important research value and ecology significance to research their habitat. Shennongjia Nature Reserve as the survival habitat of the Rhinopithecus roxellana, which effect by the natural and geographical conditions, global climate change and human activities interference, and its habitat has been damaged in vary degrees, which threatening the survival environment of the species seriously. In order to avoid further aggravate the degree of Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat destruction,it is urgent to carry out the habitat quality evaluation research and put forward the scientific and effective protection strategies and recommendations, Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat protection and management has important significance.According to the literature about Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat suitability assessment and the results collected by research groups. And combined with geographical location in protected areas and natural conditions, the study select six key factors which affect the Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat quality, respectively:altitude factor, slope factor, aspect factor, rivers factor, vegetation types and road factor. Based on three evaluation criteria of abiotic factors, biological factors and disturbance factors, the study uses the method of combining landscape ecology basicprinciple and geographic information system technology, fuzzy assignment to the landscape connectivity of habitat factor suitability, build habitat assessment model of landscape connectivity. The results obtained from the comprehensive evaluation of Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat in the study area, and analyze the results. The results are as follows:(1) By building habitat assessment model, Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat in Shennongjia Nature Reserve of space simulation and data analysis through the establishment of landscape connection, Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat in the study area from anthropogenic interference factors potentially suitable habitat results in: the most suitable habitat area accounted for 19km2, 2.60% of the total area; suitable habitat area accounted for 74km2, 10.12% of the total area; suitable for habitat area accounted for 193km2, 26.40% of the total area; not suitable for habitat area accounted for 445km2 60.88% of the total area.(2) The actual appropriate habitat results in the research area of Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat by the disturbance of human activities affecting show that: the most suitable habitat area is 15km2, accounted for 2.05% of the total area; suitable habitat is 59km2, accounting for a total area of 8.07% of; less suitable area 168km2,accounted for 22.99% of the total area; un-suitable habitat 489km2, accounting for a total area of 66.89%.(3) According to the comprehensive assessment of Rhinopithecus roxellana habitat in the study area shows that the suitable habitat distribution space is insufficient, should strengthen the protection and management of regional existing suitable habitat patches, to avoid aggravating the degree of fragmentation. At the same time, improve the management measures about which may become patch, public and educate positively, implementing scientific and effective habitat protection strategies.
