The development of philosophy from ancient Greek is reflected in two aspects. On the one hand, people’s understanding of nature has improved, on the other hand, it also reflects the changing on connotation of times. Philosophy and technology are no longer mutually exclusive, On the contrary, they are inseparably interconnected and developing simultaneously. Philosophy accord with scientific evolution laws is changing and growing in the flood of history, too.Energetics paradigm proposed by Ostwald has been proved wrong after the Atomic theory is raised, But its contribution to the development of science and society is indelible.In many fields, it still has its rationality and value. Recently, "Positive energy" has become the annual hot words in our country. The whole society has set off a wave of positive energy,not only at the Central Committee, but also in the citizens. However, what is "Positive energy", how to use and spread it, and what kind of energy is called "positive energy" ? Perhaps in the Ostwald energetism we can detect one or two. Therefor, energetism which has been silenced for a long time seems to have renewed vitality currently. Today, since we are still Adhere to the dialectical materialism of Marx, it is necessary to regain energetism and explore its energy theory for it$s beneficial parts in accordance with the law of social development and scientific. Meanwhile the regaining is tally with the requirements of the times.Considering the background of Ostwald$s history, the methods of literature analysis, historical and logical combination and also theoretical and practical combination were applied in this article. Based on the interpretation of Ostwald$s publications, the author attempted to propose a systematic and comprehensive framework about the energetic. Besides, by referring to the criticisms from Boltzmann and Lenin, an objective and fare appraisal about Ostwald was given from the view of Marxism. This article was divided into the flowing parts: First, introduce Ostwald$s life with the background and theory about energetics. Second, explain the theoretical meaning of energetics in detail. Ostwald applied energetics into all areas of life, social, spiritual, etc. He postulated that the energy is the origin of the substances and the phenomena. The presences of substances are different combinations of various forms of energy. The generation of phenomena is the feedback of the energy to the operation system of brains. Therefore, the transformation of energy also accounts for the spirit. According to the opinions aforementioned, Ostwald proposed the first and second law of energy combining the thermodynamics and tried to apply it to the whole nature and human society as a universal rule. Third, investigate the struggles since the beginning to the bankruptcy of energetics. Simultaneously, analyze two of the most representatives, Boltzmann and Lenin, who critiqued the energetics. Many scientists and philosophers including Boltzmann and Lenin have acknowledged energetics have some advancement and practicability. However, it deviated from the correct direction of scientific development in the sense of methodology and epistemological and ontological dimensions. Fourth, discuss the contemporary significance of energetics and come up with the judgment from the view of the dialectical materialism and the scientific epistemology. Last but not least, pursue the value of the energetics in modern society in which promoting the positive altitudes is the main trend.
