Complex network has important applications in social, economic, biological and technical problems. It can be said that the network has a close relationship with people’s lives, such as social network, technical network, cooperative network, biological network. It can be said that the network is everywhere. Researchers obtain a series of details of the calculation, inspection and simulation from the study of network. Many authors have applied these theories to the spread of the disease. This is the theme of this article. This paper study the spread of infectious diseases in the network using generating function and percolation theory. Combining the research of network with the method of generating function theory and percolation theory, the topology of network is more clear and convenient. The characteristic of this paper is that we divided infected period into different stages. In the second chapter,we presented the calculation formula of the disease outbreak threshold in SEIR model according to the percolation theory and the generating function theory. The the third chapter,we presented the calculation of the threshold of disease outbreak, the average outbreak size, etc, according to the percolation theory and the generating function theory, when the stage of infection is divided into three stages. In the fourth chapter, the calculation method of the first two chapters is extended to the n stages. The calculation of the average degree of infected and uninfected persons under this condition is given when the disease outbreak.
