When a cylindrical magnet rotates around its symmetrical axis, a current is generated in loop circuit by the magnet and rest external circuit formed. The phenomenon is a special electromagnetic induction phenomenon and was entitled unipolar induction. But there were two contrary explanations about the unipolar induction. One of them is N theory represented by Faraday, and they thought that induction electromotive force is produced because the rotating magnet cuts static magnetic lines of force. The other one is M theory, and they deemed that the induction electromotive force is produced because the magnetic lines co-rotate with the magnet cuts the rest external circuit. However, nowadays the ancient and important question has not been ruled out no. In this paper, through a lot of research and theoretical deducing we designed a unipolar induction experimental unit which is made up of two basic unipolar induction experiment systems. One of the experimental systems is composed of two Faraday disk experimental units. Then using Djuric of generalized mathematical model of single machine verified its experimental results. Finally, we found that explanations of the M theory countered to the experimental results. But the explanations of the N theory were equal to the experimental results. The other experiment was similar to the above experimental systems but the metal disks were substituted metal casks. The casks unipolar induction can eliminate the effects of the static circuits of Faraday disk experiment. In the experiment, the M theory was denied and the N theory was proved. So the paper inferred that the N theory is the correct hypothesis to explain the unipolar induction phenomenon. In other words, the magnetic lines of force not rotate with the magnet rotating. This paper can be summarized into the following four parts.(1) The unipolar induction phenomenon and its research status were shown in the first chapter.(2) In the second chapter, we mainly introduced several classic unipolar induction verification experiments in the history, at the same time analyzed the insufficiency of these experiments. It was analyzed why can’t these experiments of unipolar induction theory to make a decision. Using Djuric of the generalized mathematical model of single machine explained their experimental results.(3) We designed the unipolar induction experiment to verdict the M theory and the N theory.(4) Generated by the two magnets used in the experiment, magnetic field strength was calculated in space. And used Djuric of generalized mathematical model of single machine, the experimental results which consisted of two Faraday disk experiment of unipolar induction experiments produced was analyzed to verdict the M theory and the N theory.
