Carbonate reservoir occupies an important position in the oil and gas reservoirs, whose production and reserves are huge and widely distributed, so it is a very important field of exploration.Halfaya oil field is located in the Mesopotamian foredeep depression zone, a low and monoclinic structure, the main productive formation Mishrif layer is a good type of reef limestone reservoir.Because the oil field is currently in the development of the early evaluation stage, there has been no study of sedimentary facies and reservoir evaluation, oil reservoir is controlled by the dual factors of construction and reservoir.its distribution, main controlling factors and accumulation rules are inaccurate. And various types of reservoir rocks, complex reservoir space, and strong heterogeneity, which make the reservoir prediction difficult.In this paper,under the guidance of a comprehensive theory of geology, logging and seismic, through reservoir precise calibration, small layers were divided by contrast, and the sequence stratigraphic framework was figured out; established reservoir parameters calculat-ion model of Mishrif of lithology, saturation, holes-fracture porosity and permeability on the basis of four sexual relations; using combination ideas of macro and micro, geology and geophysics, reservoir characteristics and logging, to carry out the reservoir area seismic facies and sedimentary facies study, Completed each small layer of sedimentary facies, subfacies and microfacies division, established body of sedimentary facies model database to predict yield reservoir and distribution of different types of reservoirs; predicted target reservoir lithology and thickness distribution combined with seismic attribute extraction and seismic inversion, and ultimately established a set of practical reef carbonate reservoir sedimentary characteristics and reservoir prediction technical program.
