Maoping lead-zinc deposit is an important part of the lead-zinc mineralization belt of northeastern Yunnan Province in China, it is a great significance of research on extracting and analyzing lineaments and alteration anomalies in study area. This article relying on "Zhangtong Maoping lead-zinc deposit deep and peripheral concealed ore prospecting technology methods and increasing reserves research" and "Application of remote prediction and evaluation technology of mineral resources in northeastern Yunnan Province" Surrounding the use of remote sensing technology to extract lineaments and alteration anomalies and combining with regional geology, the paper apply various methods and focus on fractal theory and method of extraction and analysis of lineaments and alteration anomalies in study area. While, Make a contrastive study on the different technical methods to extract information of lineaments and alteration of multispectral remote sensing imagery in study area.The study makes use of Landsat-7ETM+image, Landsat-8OLI image and ALOS image. Through studying, analyzing and summarizing the previous information and on the basis of deep understanding of the stratigraphy, tectonics, magmatic rocks and wall rock alteration in study area, the paper use a variety of technical methods of extracting and analyzing lineaments and alteration anomalies. Using of Total density contour map of lineaments, Total intensity contour map of lineaments, Intersection density contour map of lineaments, Azimuth anomalies map of lineaments and also introduce fractal theory and method to quantitative analyze lineaments information; Using of band ratio, principal component analysis (PCA), the second principal component analysis, spectral angle mapping (SAM) and also introduce fractal theory of extraction and analysis method. Make a comparative analysis of various methods of extraction and analysis in study area. The paper summed up a set of methods which are suitable for extracting lineaments and remote sensing anomalies in the study area. The main contents and results of the paper are as follows:1. Make a analysis of the interpretation of lineaments signs. According to the lineaments characteristics of remote sensing, the study research on data preprocessing and extract lineaments information in study area.2. Research on various quantitative analysis methods of remote sensing lineaments (Total density contour map of lineaments; Azimuth anomalies map of lineaments at al.), and also introduce fractal theory and method to quantitative analyze lineaments information, which compared with traditional quantitative analysis methods of lineaments in study area. Studies have shown that:1) The lineaments are commonly developed in the study area, and the linear concentration areas are distributed along NE-trending, NW-trending. The superiority trending of lineaments in the study area rang nearly from40°to80°, while the abnormal azimuth rang nearly from170°to180°.2) Through the fractal study on the study area, we conclude that fractal dimension of overall lineaments area is1.2811, R2=0.983, showing that the lineaments of the study area has characteristic of fractal. The fractal structure has a good statistical self-similarity.3) The study on the fractal of the lineaments to different azimuth shows the structure along NE-trending is the main structure (the fractal dimension is1.1315) and DNE>DNW>DEW>DAN-The fractal dimension of lineaments along NE-trending is higher than others. The lineaments in the study area of normal azimuth and abnormal azimuth also have fractal characteristics, and the lineaments of the normal azimuth is more complex than that of the abnormal azimuth, fractal dimension of high value area roughly along NE-trending and NW-trending to zonal distribution, with strong activities.4) The fractal statistics of lineaments in study area is consistent with the structure spatial distribution of Maoping lead-zinc mining area.3. Research on various extraction methods of remote sensing alteration anomalies (Band ratio, principal component analysis, the second principal component analysis, spectral angle mapping method at al.), and also introduce fractal theory and method to extract remote sensing alteration anomalies in study area. Comparative evaluation of extraction results of alteration anomalies and summarize the different extract methods characteristics of alteration anomalies. Studies have shown that:1) The remote sensing alteration information of the study area has characteristics of statistical fractal and the fractal method to determine abnormal limit is more accurate than the traditional methods of threshold selection alteration threshold.2) There is a positive correlation between fractal dimension values and the abnormal level.3) Fractal dimension of high value areas and the alteration information concentration areas are consistent.4. Through a contrastive study on the different technical methods to extract information of lineaments and alteration of multispectral remote sensing imagery in the study area, the paper summed up a set of methods which are suitable for extracting lineaments and remote sensing anomalies in the study area. Studies have shown that:1) Base on fractal methods of extraction and analysis of lineaments and alteration anomalies significantly superior to others, but other methods of extraction and analysis results play a reference role to analyze of lineaments and alteration anomalies in study area.2) Comprehensive analysis of lineaments and alteration anomalies in study area have shown that:There exists a multi-level exception regions of lineaments and alteration anomalies in Lin jiaping and Zhu jiaying.
